“It took my wife (Courtney) and I three years to put this together,” said co-owner Jim Lovely. “We felt Council Bluffs needed something different when it comes to workout options.”
The response has been positive since he and Courtney opened the facility at 527 S. Main St. in July.
Their first five-week workout session numbered 11 clients, Lovely said. Their second session that began Monday totaled 33, he said.
Clients do various body exercises for 45 minutes a day, six days a week for five weeks.
“We have classes at 5 a.m., 6 a.m., 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.,” said staff trainer Kyle Hanson. “The 5 a.m. class is our biggest class.”
The key at his fitness center, Lovely said, is that the exercises are never the same.
“We don’t do the same workout twice during the five-week session. That way, people don’t get stagnant. They want to come back. When it comes to working out, it should always be different.”
